Fire Station Play Date

Today Lillian and I got to go to Madison Fire Station #1. She was too young to really understand any of it but I do like her to experience new things. She loved when they turned on the lights of one of the fire trucks. No idea what our fireman's name was but his nickname is milk money. Given to him because he is the youngest guy and they said his mom sends him to work with milk money everyday. He was so great to the kids. They showed us around the inside of the fire station and each of the trucks. We learned that the trucks with hoses are actually called fire engines and the ones with ladders are called fire trucks.
The kids listening intently even though the poor milk money had no idea if they were understanding anything he said.

Lillian actually liked when the fireman got in all his gear

Giving high fives to the fireman

Lillian did not want to sit on the cold ground

Sweet Andrew with the fireman's hat on. He seemed to be the only one old enough to answer any questions.

This momma was soooo excited to get to slide down the pole. I think we were all a little jealous. :)

Tried to get a group shot. Not easy with little ones.

Fun play date and excited for when Lillian is old enough to know what's going on.

Tate Farms

We had a lot of fun Halloween and fall festivities this month. On Tuesday we headed to Tate Farms with some friends before they closed for the season. It is your typical pumpkin patch farm. They had play sets, animals, pumpkins, corn cars, a big bouncy pillow, and corn pits. Lillian did not care for the corn pits. I think it was just too overwhelming with everyone around. We tried for a few pictures anyways

We love to swing

Going down the big slide with Daddy

The bouncy pillow was legit. Some kid was bouncing me pretty high.

So thankful to have met this sweet family when we moved to Huntsville!

Lillian is so inquisitive we can hardly get her to look at the camera when she sees something new

Tanner loved the cars. Look at the sweet smile!

Tanner is a typical boy, he loved all the tractors, trucks, and running around. I bet he slept great that night after all the running around and playing we did.

Pumpkin Carving

 Lillian's first time carving pumpkins.

I hate the pumpkin guts and Lillian kept reaching for it but I knew it would just be a big mess. She did get some to her mouth once.

Found this idea of using a drill on pinterest and it was way easier than those little carving sets.

Our Pumpkins! (thanks to Daddy's hard work)

Halloween Play date

Lillian and I got together with a couple of our friends for a Halloween play group today. The kids wore their costumes/Halloween outfits. It was a gorgeous day outside so we played then read a story about pumpkins and got to decorate pumpkins with silly face stickers(cute easy no mess idea).

"Wendy" from Peter Pan mowing the yard. Her little sister Cohen (below) is dressing up as Tinkerbell for Halloween but wanted to be a cheerleader for today.

Cohen and Lillian, Cohen is about a week older than Lillian

Everyone loves to play with a ball
